HM Government ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ Scheme

The Government has announced a new scheme to help cafes and restaurants recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. The Eat Out to Help Out Scheme opens on 3 August 2020. From 3 to 31 August, get a 50% discount when you eat in at restaurants that are registered with the scheme.

Use the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme at a participating establishment:

• to get 50% off your food and non-alcoholic drinks up to a total value of £10 per person if you eat or drink in
• every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3 and 31 August
• as many times as you like

Participating establishments may include:

• restaurants, cafés, bars or pubs
• work and school canteens
• food halls

All diners in a group of any size can use the discount.

How can the Town Council help Lydney?

This is scheme is managed by HM Government, but Lydney Town Council can promote it to local traders and the community.

The Town Council will post a list of all registered businesses in Lydney that advise us of their membership of the scheme. Once they have registered, businesses are invited to contact the Town Clerk on town.clerk@lydneytowncouncil.co.uk
